Brain imaging, digital nudges and the GPS as a modern compass
Alessandro von Gal is a research fellow at the Department of Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome, where he obtained his PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience. His master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience included a thesis on fronto-parietal connectivity changes underlying movements with different effectors, based on fMRI data.
He completed his apprenticeship in assessment and surgical planning for brain-tumour treatment during awake surgery with the Brain Imaging Laboratory of the Psychology Department, in collaboration with Policlinico Umberto I hospital in Rome. His work links spatial navigation with decision making and sustainable mobility.
Award: the Guidoniani Prize
Alessandro won the "Guidoniani Prize", received during the XXXII National Convention of AIMAS (Italian Association of Aerospace Medicine) in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
