A cross-sectional study in children and preadolescents.” by Francesca Vecchione, Marco Giancola, Massimiliano Palmiero, Maddalena Boccia, Simonetta D’Amico and Laura Piccardi published in European Journal of Developmental Psychology. In the present study we found that field-dependent/independent cognitive style (FDI) mediated the relaon between visual-percepon skills and mathemacs specifically during preadolescence, enhancing the posive correlaon between variables. In addion to the theorecal advances, the results of the present study may have an educational impact.
